Co-written with and produced by Patrik Berger, the electropop ballad was released in the United States on 1 June 2010 and in the rest of the world on 14 June as the album's lead single. Todays tune "Dancing on My Own" is a song by Swedish recording artist Robyn from her fifth studio album, Body Talk Pt. 2 is due for release in September 17 and a follow up to that Speak Your Body: Body Talk Pt. The albums lead single "Dancing on My Own" was released a few weeks prior to the albums release, and became a hit single worldwide, including in the U.K. It is her first album since Robyn (2005). The band worked again with Canadian Lisa Mann who directed the video for "I Don't Care" from the album Worlds Collide. The music video for "End of Me" was shot in a crematorium in Altadena, California at the end of May 2010. The song features Gavin Rossdale of Bush on lead vocals. Todays tune "End of Me", the song is released as the first single from 7th Symphony.

The iTunes bonus track "Spiral Architect" is a cover of Black Sabbath and will also be featured in the free CD available with the September 2010 issue of Metal Hammer. The limited edition also includes a bonus DVD with filmed acoustic recordings from a session at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, recorded on June 4, 2010.
